About Cedar Financial
Cedar Financial (“Cedar”) is a renowned international financial services company, recognized for its expertise in cross-border ARM (Accounts Receivable Management) services. Our team is driven by a spirit of innovation, constantly seeking new ideas and ways to improve and evolve. We understand that complacency can be detrimental to business and as such, we are quick to embrace change and tackle challenges head-on. Our approach is not one of recklessness, but one of agility and strategic thinking. We focus on achieving results rather than simply completing routine tasks. Our goal is to provide our clients with exceptional services that help them achieve their financial goals.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior SEO Link Builder to grow the authority of Cedar’s websites by earning high-quality, relevant backlinks. Working with our Senior SEO Specialist, you will research link opportunities, run personalized outreach campaigns, build relationships with publishers and bloggers, and keep accurate records of every link earned. This role suits someone early in their SEO career who wants to learn white-hat link building and digital PR in a performance-driven team.
Responsibilities
Prospecting: Research and qualify link opportunities such as guest posts, resource pages, broken link building, unlinked brand mentions, and industry directories, using Ahrefs, Semrush, and Google search operators.
Link Quality Assessment: Vet prospect websites against Cedar’s quality guidelines: relevance, real organic traffic, Domain Rating / Domain Authority, spam signals, and outbound link patterns.
Outreach: Find verified contact details and send personalized outreach emails and follow-ups using tools such as Pitchbox, BuzzStream, Respona, or Hunter.io.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with bloggers, editors, journalists, and webmasters in finance, B2B, and technology niches.
Content Coordination: Work with the content team on guest post topics, briefs, and linkable assets. Make sure anchor text and target URLs follow the approved link plan.
Digital PR Support: Respond to journalist requests on platforms such as Qwoted, Featured, and Help a B2B Writer to secure brand mentions and editorial links.
Tracking & Reporting: Keep an accurate outreach tracker and link log (prospect, status, live URL, anchor text, DR, and any cost) and prepare weekly progress reports.
Link Monitoring: Monitor live links for removal or changes, identify lost and broken backlinks, and help reclaim them.
Competitor Backlink Analysis: Analyze competitor backlink profiles to find new link opportunities and gaps.
Guidelines Compliance: Follow Google’s spam policies and white-hat link-building practices. Avoid link schemes, private blog networks (PBNs), and other manipulative tactics.
Citations & Listings: Build and maintain consistent business citations and directory listings where applicable.
Objective and KPI
Objective: Increase the authority and organic rankings of Cedar’s websites by consistently earning relevant, high-quality backlinks through ethical, white-hat outreach.
Links Acquired: Number of live, quality backlinks secured each month against the target set (typically 10–20 per month).
Link Quality: Share of links that meet quality criteria: topical relevance, DR 30+, real organic traffic, and editorial, do-follow placement.
Outreach Activity: Qualified prospects researched and personalized outreach emails sent each week.
Response & Conversion Rates: Outreach reply rate and the rate at which prospects convert to live links.
Referring Domain Growth: Month-over-month growth in unique referring domains.
Link Retention: Share of acquired links still live after 90 days.
Data Accuracy: Link tracker and weekly reports kept complete, accurate, and current.
Education, Experience, Qualifications & Skills
0–2 years of experience in link building, SEO, digital PR, or outreach. Internship or freelance experience is welcome.
Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals, including backlinks, anchor text, do-follow vs. no-follow links, and domain authority metrics.
Familiarity with at least one SEO tool (Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz) and with Google Sheets or Excel.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage a high volume of outreach and follow-ups.
Persistent and self-motivated, comfortable working to targets and handling rejection.
