About this Role

Junior Scheduler (Construction) 

QISG delivers engineering, construction, and project management solutions for critical energy and infrastructure projects across North America.

 

We’re looking for a Junior Scheduler with 1–4 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with Primavera P6. An engineering or construction background is highly preferred.

 

This is a great opportunity to build your career in project scheduling and Project Controls while supporting EPC, Design-Build, and CMAR projects. Training and development opportunities will be provided to help you continue growing your P6 and scheduling skills.

 

This is a remote position with approximately 15% domestic travel to construction project sites and/or regional offices.

What You'll Do

  • Help build and update CPM and Linear (LSM) schedules for exciting infrastructure and construction projects.
  • Work with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and contractors to bring project schedules together and keep teams aligned.
  • Connect project schedules with budgets and financials to help project teams understand performance and forecast outcomes.
  • Build cost- and resource-loaded schedules, cash flow curves, and EVM reports.
  • Use your Excel skills, including macros, formulas, and data analysis, to streamline reporting and turn project data into useful insights.
  • Support change management, risk tracking, look-ahead and short-interval planning to help projects stay on track.
  • Keep schedules, updates, and project documentation accurate and organized.

What Will Help You Stand Out

  • Experience with infrastructure, EPC, utility, or heavy construction projects.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) or linear scheduling tools such as TILOS.
  • Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Interest in building a career in project scheduling and Project Controls.

Travel

  • Up to 15% domestic travel to construction project sites and regional offices, primarily in the Western U.S.

What You'll Bring

  • 1–4 years of engineering or construction scheduling experience — internships and co-ops are welcome.
  • Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Project Management, Construction, or a related field required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, macros, formulas, and automation.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6; training will be provided if your experience is limited.
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in building a career in construction scheduling and Project Controls.
