Olympus Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time, highly motivated Junior Azure Administrator with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will help manage and maintain Azure cloud environments in support of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Infrastructure Support Services (ISS) program, assisting with deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Azure infrastructure and services to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of mission-critical cloud-based solutions.
This position is fully remote and may be performed from anywhere in the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources including virtual machines (VMs), storage accounts, and networking components.
- Monitor Azure environments for performance, availability, scalability, and security using Azure Monitor and other tools.
- Perform system troubleshooting and problem resolution for Azure-based services and infrastructure.
- Respond to alerts, incidents, and outages in a timely and effective manner.
- Apply Azure security best practices, including administration of Network Security Groups (NSGs), threat-detection tooling, and data encryption.
- Participate in compliance audits and remediation efforts related to Azure services.
- Perform routine backup validation and failure testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience; additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong understanding of core Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Storage, and App Services.
- Practical knowledge of Azure AD, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity management.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Azure PowerShell modules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft Azure certifications highly preferred.
- Experience with Docker and other container technologies.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with AzureDB.
