SUMMARY
Junior Artist creates appealing characters and environment art for mobile game platforms. Must be flexible in adapting to art styles, supporting art and production teams in creating visually pleasing game art assets. They will be able to take ideas from a conceptual stage through to completion with the support of the art team in asset creation and report to the Art Director.
MAIN ASPECTS OF THE ROLE
Creating characters and background art to a high quality to maintain consistent quality of work across all art asset
Work as part of a team of artists
Ability to take on board feedback and art direction, follow best practices seeking advice before final art versions and making relevant revisions
Creating conceptual art for characters and environments
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Training: Art related degree or experience in games
Practical Experience: Excellent digital painting skills and vector art creation
Practical Experience: Adobe suite, character design, environment design. Good digital painting skills, confident understanding of digital techniques such as masking, layers, smart objects, vector tools
Technical & Practical Skills: Experience of creating game ready art assets to development team requirements
Behaviours & Attributes: Passion for creating art, welcomes constructive feedback, Pro-active attitude, Excellent communication skills
