IT - PowerBi Azure Data Developer

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for designing and modifying data pipelines and build dashboards using Power BI and managing data/data analytics in Azure Synapse with the aim of optimizing financial analytics and operational efficiency while adhering to appropriate data quality and data governance principles.

Job Duties:

• Develop PowerBI reports for financial analysis and management reporting.
• Support data models to enhance BI reporting.
• Write, analyze, review, and rewrite data pipelines and reports applying knowledge of computer and software capabilities.
• Perform revision, repair, or expansion of existing data pipelines and reports to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan creation or modification of existing data pipelines and reports.
• Collaborate with project team to evaluate requirements and execute data transformation and reporting projects.
• Perform data analysis on financial systems and custom developed applications.
• Engage and interact with business users to identify requirements and develop documents for the reporting needs of the business.
• Engage and interact with business users to troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues.
• Work with users to address ad-hoc data analysis requests.
• Prioritize tasks and responsibilities to properly manage one’s own workload.
• Troubleshoot data and BI application issues.
• Fully analyze the impact and determine the strategy for all report requests.
• Escalate top priority or production-critical issues to the appropriate support staff.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and report issues.
• Make recommendations of perceived solutions to potential problem areas and methods for improvement.
• Communicate effectively.
• Other ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications:

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Data Analysis and/or Data Engineering experience with a focus on Microsoft technologies
• 3+ years’ experience building dashboards using PowerBI including strong design experience
• 1+ years’ experience managing data and/or performing data analytics within Azure Datawarehouse (Synapse preferred)
• 1+ years of SQL query experience including building queries with complex calculations

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information technology, finance, marketing, or equivalent.
• Applicable training and/or certification
• Experience with Azure Data Bricks, Data Factory, Data Lake, Functions, Logic Apps, etc.
• Able to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Experience in matrix organizations
• CRM and Tableau experience

• Compensation Range: $91k - $139k
