Summary:

The Senior Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA Sr.) – EPS/Printing Focus serves as a technical leader responsible for the architecture, optimization, and operational excellence of Epic client systems, with deep specialization in Epic Print Service (EPS) and enterprise-wide printing workflows.

This role provides advanced technical expertise, establishes standards, and leads complex initiatives to ensure highly available, scalable, and efficient printing services supporting critical clinical operations. The ECSA Sr. acts as a subject matter expert (SME), mentor, and strategic partner across infrastructure, application, and endpoint teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of Epic client infrastructure across all environments
  • Oversee system upgrades, patching strategies, and lifecycle management for Epic client systems 
  • Establish performance baselines, monitoring strategies, and proactive system health management
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for high-impact or complex system issues
  • Advanced knowledge of Epic client systems architecture and dependencies
  • Deep expertise in EPS, print servers, and end-to-end printing workflows
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, networking, and endpoint integration
  • Ability to design scalable and resilient system architectures
  • Make architecture design decisions for project teams and ensure those decisions are consistent with long-term architecture design. Perform systems performance and process modeling to establish foundation for architecture approach.
  • Maintain and monitor Windows operating system environments including production, qa, and development systems. Install upgrades and patches to existing systems. Identify and implement performance-tuning enhancements as needed.
  • Communicate architecture concepts and direction to directors, managers, and analysts. Support the activities required to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Develop and communicate project/task estimates and project workplans. Manage tasks and projects to schedule and budget.


    How You’ll Be Successful:

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    • At least 7 years related experience Required
    • Healthcare/Epic ECSA Preferred

    EDUCATION
    • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Preferred
    • Roles supporting a specific software must demonstrate competency in the software used in their role. All training and testing applicable to the role must be successfully completed and passed within 180 days of employment. Continuing education requirements must be completed and maintained for applications applicable to the role. Required
