About the role

Outple is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer to work full-time with a UK-based client on residential design projects.

This role is ideal for someone who can turn ideas into practical, visually strong home design concepts. You should be confident creating accurate 2D plans, high-quality 3D renders, walkthroughs, furniture selections, and detailed design specifications.

You will work remotely, but you will need to communicate clearly, manage feedback well, and deliver polished work to agreed timelines.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for:

• Creating accurate 2D floor plans and room layouts
  
• Developing high-quality 3D interior renders
  
• Producing 3D walkthroughs, animations, or interactive models
  
• Designing practical, stylish, and functional residential interiors
  
• Selecting furniture, décor, finishes, lighting, and materials
  
• Preparing detailed furniture and materials lists, including specifications, estimated pricing, and sourcing links where required
  
• Designing within agreed budgets and client requirements
  
• Working remotely with stakeholders and responding to feedback efficiently
  
• Managing your own workload and keeping design tasks moving
  

What we’re looking for

Essential requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in residential interior design
  
• A strong portfolio showing 2D layouts, 3D renders, and walkthrough or visualisation work
  
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Blender, Lumion, Enscape, or similar
  
• Good understanding of space planning, lighting, materials, finishes, and practical home design
  
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
• Good written and spoken English
  
• Ability to collaborate with an international client and apply feedback professionally
  

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

Relevant professional experience and a strong portfolio may also be considered.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing furniture from UK-based or international suppliers
  
• Experience designing to specific budgets
  
• Experience with small homes, garages, playrooms, multi-functional rooms, or family spaces
  
• Experience preparing client-ready design packs
  
• Experience working with overseas clients
