Overview
We are a leading insurance defense litigation firm seeking a highly organized and detail oriented paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation and is comfortable managing a high volume caseload in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and motions
Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Gather, review, and summarize medical records, accident reports, and other case related documents
Maintain and organize case files, discovery databases, and document productions
Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, and coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts
Conduct legal and factual research as needed
Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements in New Jersey State and Federal courts
Provide general administrative support to attorneys
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in legal studies and/or paralegal certificate required
Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in insurance defense
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of New Jersey State court rules, procedures, and e filing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to prioritize, multi task, and meet deadlines in a high volume practice
Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
