The Institutional Giving Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of grant writing, prospecting, and reporting for institutional funders. They collaborate with leadership and program teams to drive organizational grant strategy and maintain strong relationships with donors.

Position Overview: This position is responsible for grant writing, prospecting, reporting, project management, and relationship management for institutional funders (foundations, government, and corporations). The Institutional Giving Manager collaborates with executive leadership, program, and development teams to drive strategy for institutional giving in support of the WLA’s highest priorities.
Amount of Time & Status: 40 hours a week, exempt, Monday-Friday
Location: This position is remote, but requires residency in the American West
Reports to: Development Director
Compensation: $75,000-$90,000. Salary is commensurate with experience. Working Environment/Physical Activities: Work environment is an office setting with occasional field/ranch visits. Physical activities include sitting at a desk and working on a keyboard and computer several hours a day; conducting business over the telephone and via email; standing for long periods of time; traveling long distances by vehicle (including traveling on unpaved roads or in off-highway vehicles) or by plane; walking on uneven ground; working outside in variable weather conditions. This position may also require moving agency materials up to 25 pounds. This position requires to facilitate meetings, and interface professionally with the public.
