Inspection Coordinator
Full-Time | U.S.-Based
About This Role
SpartanX is seeking a highly organized and proactive Inspection Coordinator to support residential solar inspection operations across our active U.S. markets.
This role is responsible for coordinating projects through the inspection process—from confirming inspection readiness and scheduling with local jurisdictions to tracking results, coordinating corrections, and getting failed inspections back on the calendar quickly.
We're looking for someone who understands that scheduling the inspection is only part of the job. The right person stays ahead of the details, follows up relentlessly, and works across multiple teams to keep projects moving toward final approval.
What You’ll Do
- Schedule and coordinate residential solar inspections with municipalities, inspectors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
- Manage inspection calendars across multiple projects, markets, and jurisdictions
- Confirm projects are ready for inspection before appointments are scheduled
- Coordinate Inspection Technician coverage and field availability
- Verify required permits, documentation, and project information are available prior to inspection
- Track projects from initial inspection scheduling through final approval
- Document inspection results, pass/fail status, correction requirements, and project updates accurately
- Coordinate failed inspection items with Electrical, Installation, Service, Permitting, and Operations teams
- Schedule reinspections promptly once required corrections are completed
- Follow up with AHJs regarding scheduling, requirements, results, and outstanding items
- Communicate inspection dates, changes, results, and required actions to internal stakeholders
- Identify scheduling conflicts, stalled projects, and potential delays before they impact project timelines
- Maintain accurate and current records within internal systems
- Escalate recurring inspection issues and significant delays to leadership
- Support inspection process improvements as SpartanX continues expanding into new markets
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in scheduling, project coordination, construction administration, permitting, inspections, or field operations
- Residential solar or construction experience strongly preferred
- Experience coordinating a high volume of projects, appointments, or field resources
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident communicating with municipalities, AHJs, inspectors, field employees, and internal leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving delays
- Comfortable working with CRM, scheduling, project-management, and web-based systems
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Residential solar industry experience
- Previous inspection or permitting coordination experience
- Experience working directly with U.S. municipalities and AHJs
- Familiarity with residential solar inspection processes and terminology
- Understanding of permitting, inspection, correction, and reinspection workflows
- Experience coordinating projects across multiple jurisdictions or states
Schedule
Primarily Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday availability required.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Full-time, U.S.-based position
- Comprehensive training and ongoing support
- Career growth opportunities within a rapidly growing solar company
- Collaborative environment working across Inspections, Permitting, Electrical, Installation, Service, and Operations
- Opportunity to directly impact inspection turnaround times and project completion
Why SpartanX?
Every project sitting in inspection is a project waiting to cross the finish line.
As an Inspection Coordinator, you'll be one of the people responsible for making sure it gets there. From getting the inspection scheduled to coordinating corrections and reinspections, your organization and follow-through directly impact how quickly our projects reach final approval.
If you're organized, persistent, and exceptionally good at keeping a lot of moving pieces from becoming stalled projects, we want to hear from you.
Solar Done Right.
