About Prepare Medical

Prepare Medical (preparemedical.com) is Canada’s first physician-prescribed emergency medication supply provider. We equip individuals, families, and communities with physician- approved, ready-to-use emergency medical kits — designed to bridge critical gaps in access to care, especially in remote and underserved communities. Our kits are covered under the Non- Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program, making them accessible to eligible First Nations, Métis, and Inuit community members across Canada.

About the Role

Prepare Medical is seeking a driven and community-connected Indigenous Community Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us expand access to NIHB-covered emergency medical kits across First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities in British Columbia. This is a meaningful, flexible contract role that combines relationship-building with purpose- driven work.

As our Indigenous Community Liaison and BDR, you will serve as a trusted bridge between Prepare Medical and the communities we serve — helping community members and health administrators understand how to access life-saving emergency medication supplies at no out- of-pocket cost through NIHB.

  • Educate communities and health administrators on Prepare Medical’s NIHB-covered emergency medical kits and the enrollment/ordering process

  • Identify and develop new community partnerships and business development opportunities

  • Act as a knowledgeable resource on the NIHB program and how it applies to Prepare Medical’s offerings

  • Represent Prepare Medical at community events, health fairs, and virtual meetings

  • Provide feedback from communities to help shape our outreach strategy and product development

  • Track and report on outreach activities and pipeline progress

What We’re Looking For

  • Existing relationships within First Nations, Métis, or Inuit communities in BC

  • Familiarity with the NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits) program

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and community engagement skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote contract role

  • Understanding of Indigenous community health priorities, structures, and protocols

  • Experience in sales, business development, community health, or health administration is an asset

  • Lived experience, community connection, and or cultural grounding that strengths community practice will be an asset

Compensation & Details

  • Location: BC-Based — Remote/Work from Home with community travel as needed

  • Compensation: Contract base rate + commission on successful community enrollments and kit orders

  • Schedule: Flexible — manage your own hours and outreach

Why Join Prepare Medical?

This role is more than a sales position — it’s an opportunity to make a tangible difference in community health and emergency preparedness. You’ll help ensure that Indigenous families and communities across BC have access to physician-approved emergency medical supplies at no cost to them, removing barriers to care in areas that need it most.
