Implementation Manager
The Role
Lyrebird Health is scaling fast across the NHS and international hospital groups, and the quality of our implementations is what turns a great product into real, lasting change for clinicians. As Implementation Manager, you'll own the end-to-end delivery of Lyrebird's ambient clinical documentation and digital dictation solutions; from the first scoping conversation through to go-live and handover to business as usual. You will spend time with customers on site in their clinical environment, to understand their challenges, build relationships and deliver a meaningful solution to them. You'll be the person who makes deployments land well: technically sound, clinically adopted, and measurably impactful.
This role suits someone who thrives at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and people. You're organised without being rigid, credible in a boardroom and on a ward, and you get genuine satisfaction from watching a consultant save an hour a day because of something you helped build. You'll work closely with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders across complex organisations, and you'll bring the structure and communication skills to keep everything moving in the right direction.
This role is a remote position which requires travel to customer locations.
About Us
Lyrebird Health is transforming the quality and accessibility of healthcare by automating clinicians' most time-consuming tasks.
Thousands of clinicians across multiple disciplines use Lyrebird every day in environments where accuracy, safety, and time matter deeply. Everything we build is grounded in earning trust, reducing cognitive load, and delivering meaningful impact at scale.
What you'll do
Own the full project lifecycle from scoping and planning through to go-live and handover to BAU, running project boards and working groups with clear reporting on status, risks, and decisions needed
Become a system specialist to support design and adoption effectively to best meet customer needs giving them a best in class experience.
Lead discovery and design workshops with clinical, administrative, and IT stakeholders to map current workflows and define the future state using Lyrebird
Build and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, and communication plans that work within customer governance frameworks and Lyrebird's delivery standards
Coordinate technical implementation across Lyrebird engineering, customer IT, integration teams, and third-party suppliers; managing configuration of workflows, templates, routing rules, and user roles to fit local processes
Manage complex stakeholders to deliver the implementation effectively including clinical and operational staff.
Support customers through the change management process, taking them through this journey to effectively adopt Lyrebird Health's technology with a key understanding of the benefits and long term improvements this will offer.
Track adoption and benefits using Lyrebird analytics and agreed KPIs including usage levels, turnaround time, time released to care; and turn the data into clear actions
Ensure all work meets information governance, clinical safety, data protection, and security requirements across each customer organisation
Support commercial colleagues with project input to bids, statements of work, change control, and renewals
What you'll bring
Change management experience
Proven experience delivering SaaS or enterprise software into healthcare settings, ideally NHS Trusts, Boards, or ICBs, with a strong track record across multiple concurrent projects
Structured technical project management capability, whether Prince2, Agile, or a blend that actually works in complex NHS environments
Experience of managing a range of stakeholders and communicating effectively across these different groups
Practical understanding of hospital and primary care workflows, particularly outpatient, inpatient, community, and correspondence processes
Confidence working alongside IT teams on integrations, authentication, networking, and end-user computing constraints
Strong communication skills; able to make technical topics accessible to clinical audiences and build trust quickly with senior stakeholders
Nice to have
Experience with digital dictation, ambient documentation, or EPR integration projects
Familiarity with clinical safety standards and information governance frameworks in NHS or regulated healthcare environments
Exposure to benefits realisation or outcomes measurement in a healthcare technology context
Experience supporting commercial teams on bids or statements of work
This work matters in a direct, visible way. Every implementation you lead means clinicians spending less time on documentation and more time with patients. The notes are better, the data flows further, and the operational teams can actually see the difference. You'll be building something that changes how healthcare runs and you'll see the evidence every time you look at the usage data.
We're building a team that reflects the diversity of the people who benefit from our work. We want Lyrebird to be a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to thrive. If you're from an underrepresented background in tech, we strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every requirement.
