You will be acting as a Hybrid QA Engineer, contributing across both manual testing and test automation. This role requires active involvement in designing, writing, maintaining, and improving automated tests as part of the regular QA process. You will be involved at every step of the development process, from requirements capture and estimation, all the way through to final testing, launching and maintenance of each of the features you are involved in. You must have some overlap with UK timezone to ensure collaboration with the rest of the team daily.

What you'll be doing
Testing (black box, white box, integration, and performance) of the Web, Android and iOS platforms
Track and record product issues using Atlassian Jira and analyse the problems through various tools, giving feedback to relevant personnel to make corrections
Simulate user needs and actual usage scenarios from a user perspective
Actively participate in team discussions, challenge requirements, and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and testability
Create, follow up on, and continuously improve the test strategies and quality processes applied within the team, aiming to maintain high product standards and ensure constant delivery with high-quality products
Design, develop and maintain automated Web, Mobile, and API tests
Identify processes to apply to maintain a healthy QA mentality within the team
Help automate engineering workflows, including custom tooling beyond the automation framework
Review designs and code done by others and provide constructive feedback
Proactively identify gaps and opportunities to improve or establish quality processes
Drive the creation and maintenance of QA documentation, standards, and best practices

What you'll bring
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including significant hands-on experience in test automation using Python
Strong Python programming skills, including designing and maintaining test automation frameworks
Solid understanding of testing types (integration, end-to-end, regression, performance, and API testing), test design techniques and quality processes
Experience with Web / Android / iOS and API manual testing
Experience with web debugging and API testing tools (Chrome DevTools, Postman)
Working knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL
Experience in automation testing of REST APIs
Experience in automation testing of mobile apps (Android and iOS)
Experience in automation testing of web apps (Selenium/Playwright)
Experience with Docker
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contributing to release quality gates
Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Support onboarding of new QA team members and align testing best practices across teams
