About the Role

The Law Firm of Moumita Rahman, PLLC is a New York-based immigration law firm committed to delivering exceptional legal services to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an HR & Recruitment Assistant to join our HR team and support every day HR tasks and the full recruitment lifecycle,  from posting open roles to ensuring every candidate has a professional, seamless experience.


This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, discreet, and genuinely excited about supporting people's operations in a fast-paced legal environment.


What You'll Do

  • Post open positions across job boards, the firm's website, and relevant platforms
  • Screen incoming resumes and application materials to identify qualified candidates for legal and administrative roles
  • Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and hiring managers
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in our applicant tracking and HR systems
  • Conduct reference checks and support background verification processes
  • Manage candidate communications throughout the hiring process, ensuring a consistent and professional experience
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in recruitment, HR support, or a legal/professional services environment is a strong plus
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication,  you'll be representing the firm to candidates
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and HR or ATS platforms (BambooHR experience a plus)
  • High level of discretion,  you'll be handling sensitive candidate and personnel information
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through without needing to be reminded
