HR Foundations - Payroll and Tax Work Lead 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares, documents, and disburses payroll checks, payroll taxes, and employee benefit payments. Evaluates current systems and recommends and develops operating efficiency improvements. Monitors and ensures proper documentation of employee benefit payments. Prepares reports illustrating payroll expenditures, including tax payments and benefit plan disbursements. Designs and ensures compliance with payroll processes, including calculating gross and net pay amounts, payroll- specific records maintenance, reconciliation of payroll records, payroll data verification and administration. Monitors and manages payroll legislation compliance. Answers questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters. Maintains records on vacation, sick leave, etc.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Human Resources Foundations - Payroll and Tax Work Lead are to: 

Directs daily work and operation rhythm for one or area of service delivery (i.e. Compensation).  Ensures compliant and daily operations and a culture of continuous improvement. 

•Champions POD engagement for Capability Cluster;

•Ensures cluster resourcing for PODs;

•Champions collaboration with other clusters and organizations to ensure operational excellence and service;

•Ensures resourcing for transformation and co-creation with other functions and the business;

•Champions CSAT and leads cycle of measuring performance and identifying areas of improvement;

•Promotes culture of continuous improvement and customer centric mindset;

•Champions change for the enterprise;

•Domain and subject matter delivery in multiple disciplines  i.e. compensation, benefits, LOA;

•Ensures proper resourcing and priorities across capability cluster

•Champions Enterprise CSAT;

•Coaches capability cluster members and steers operational activity;

•Identifies skill gaps and development plans for capability cluster;

•Champions new process and implements new technology;

•Evaluates and integrates vendors.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or closely related field;
• Domain Expertise – Expert in own domain and end to end understanding;
• Customer Service: Champions a positive employee experience through delivery and empathetic interactions with employees;
• Collaboration: Seeks partnership with stakeholders to deliver a high quality end to end experience;
• Continuous Improvement / Opex – Champions continuous improvement opportunities and tools;
• Automation – Drives and deploys automation and AI tools in daily work;

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7 years of human resources experience;
• Microsoft Office experience;
• SAP and/or Workday experience;
• Experience in one or more of the following: Payroll and Workforce Management, Total Rewards, Solutions, License to Operate.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $115,520 to $173,280.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
