Pay: This full-time product design opportunity offers a competitive pay rate of $45 - $50 per hour.

YOUR DAY AS A HOME ACCESSORIES AND LIGHTING DESIGNER

Each day, you will dive into researching and developing innovative concepts for home accessories, lighting, mirrors, and small goods that embody Villa & House's commitment to luxury. You will use your expertise in CAD to sketch designs, create prototypes, and refine your visions in close collaboration with manufacturers. Your day will involve global trend research to spark inspiration, ensuring your work aligns with our brand's sophisticated voice and customer-centric approach. As you bring your concepts to life, you will prepare detailed specifications and work hand-in-hand with factory partners to prioritize cost-effective solutions, all while contributing to high-performance projects that enhance our reputation in the luxury furniture industry.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A HOME ACCESSORIES AND LIGHTING DESIGNER

• BA or MA in industrial design, product design, or a related field
• Portfolio showcasing design process and aesthetic sensibility
• Complex understanding of CAD
• Deep knowledge of production phases and strong attention to detail
• Ability to understand criticism and adjust design accordingly
• Knowledgeable about the interior design industry
• Understanding of the history of furniture and current design trends
• Ability to understand and ensure design feasibility
• Ability to prepare detailed specifications for all products, including materials and manufacturing methods
• Ability to work closely with factory partners to prioritize cost-effective approaches
