About NoA Health
NoA Health is a healthcare communications and creative agency based in Copenhagen, working with global pharmaceutical and health brands on some of the most consequential launches and campaigns in the category. We combine deep regulatory fluency with creative ambition, and we are building out our communications planning capability.
The role
An experienced healthcare communications planner with passion and experience in the healthcare space. Your core job is getting to the creative brief: you turn complex audiences, insight and regulatory constraints into a sharp, single-minded brief that sets our creative teams up to do their best work, backed by a clear plan for who we need to reach, what they need to hear, and where and when. You bring a strong insight and research backbone, and you want to grow into a fully rounded healthcare communications planner. Please note that this role is not limited to candidates based in Denmark. We also welcome applications from candidates based elsewhere in Europe.
What you'll do
Own the creative brief: turn client briefs, insight and communication strategy into a single-minded creative brief with a clear audience, a sharp insight and one compelling proposition, written within regulatory boundaries from the start
Brief creative teams in person, stay close through concept development, and judge the work against the brief so the strategy carries through into the creative
Build audience and journey insight: map how HCPs, patients and caregivers find, trust and act on health information, and find the human truths that make a brief land
Develop communication strategies and channel plans: objectives, key messages, channel mix, phasing and sequencing across owned, earned, paid and HCP channels
Run focused desk research to inform the brief and the plan, using AI research assistants (e.g. Claude, Perplexity), social listening platforms (e.g. Brandwatch, Pulsar) and traditional sources (clinical literature, regulatory filings, category data), with robust sourcing for every claim
Write clear, actionable planning documents alongside the brief: messaging frameworks, channel plans and comms strategies that account teams can execute against
Define how success is measured: KPIs, measurement frameworks and learning loops, using results to sharpen the next brief
Contribute to client-facing work: preparing materials, joining workshops and presentations, and over time presenting your own briefs and planskan
What you bring
Must-haves
2–4 years' experience in a communications planning, comms strategy or channel planning role, ideally agency side, with a solid research and insight component
Experience in healthcare, pharma: you understand the constraints of regulations (locally, regionally and / or globally), you have built projects in the pharma or healthcare environment
Demonstrable brief-writing craft: you can show us creative briefs you have written that got to a single-minded proposition, and the work they led to
Planning craft: communication plans where the audience thinking is sharp, the channel choices are justified and the evidence behind them is robust
Solid understanding of the healthcare channel landscape: HCP engagement, patient and caregiver channels, digital, social and earned media, and how they work together
Fluency with digital research and planning tools, including AI tools, and the judgement to know when they're wrong
Detail orientation: plans that add up, timings that work, and sources that are verified and recorded without being asked
Curiosity: you ask questions, not to challenge but to better understand; and you share your point of view
Strong written English and the ability to turn a plan into a clear, persuasive story on the page
Self-direction: Your manager works part-time and the team is distributed; you'll need to plan your own work, communicate proactively in writing, and know when to ask
Nice to have
Experience with global or multi-market work
Experience planning launches or omnichannel programmes in pharma
Familiarity with unbranded / disease-awareness communications and the branded–unbranded distinction
Who you are
Hands-on, proactive and curious. You ask questions early rather than delivering the wrong thing beautifully. You take pride in excellence at project level: the brief creatives are glad to receive, the plan that holds up under client scrutiny. You want to grow as a communications planner, deepen your expertise in healthcare communications, and you understand that great communication plans are built on great evidence, an open mind and critical thinking.
