Head of SEO

Job Summary

COLAB is looking for an experienced SEO Lead remotely with 10+ years of hands-on SEO experience and strong leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate must have experience working with US clients within a marketing agency environment, excellent English communication skills, and a strong understanding of current SEO trends, AI developments, and the evolving search landscape.

This is a client-facing leadership role requiring the ability to manage SEO teams, communicate directly with clients, and drive strategic SEO initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage an SEO team of 5–10+ team members.
• Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies for US-based clients.
• Manage client relationships and participate in client-facing calls and meetings.
• Oversee technical, on-page, off-page, and local SEO initiatives.
• Review SEO performance, identify opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Monitor industry trends, search algorithm changes, and emerging SEO practices.
• Stay up to date with AI developments and their impact on SEO, search, content, and digital marketing.
• Guide the team on SEO best practices, quality standards, and performance improvement.
• Analyze SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, and other relevant platforms.
• Prepare and present SEO reports, insights, and recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with content, paid media, development, and account management teams.
• Ensure SEO deliverables, KPIs, and client requirements are consistently met.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional SEO experience.
• Proven experience leading and managing SEO teams of 5–10+ members.
• Strong experience working with US-based clients.
• Marketing agency experience is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of technical, on-page, off-page, and local SEO.
• Strong knowledge of current SEO trends and the evolving search landscape.
• Good understanding of AI in SEO and digital marketing, including emerging AI-driven search and content trends.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Confident and professional when dealing directly with clients.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
