We are recruiting on behalf of a growing international organisation operating within the

charitable and not-for-profit funding sector.

Our client is looking for an experienced Grant Writer & Research Executive to join a busy, fully remote team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong writer and researcher who enjoys producing persuasive applications, identifying funding opportunities, and using

technology to work smarter.

The position combines grant writing and application delivery (approximately 60%) with

funding research and opportunity matching (approximately 40%).

The Role

Grant Writing & Application Delivery

You will be responsible for producing high-quality funding applications on behalf of a portfolio

of charitable and not-for-profit organisations.

Key responsibilities will include:

● Writing clear, compelling and well-structured grant applications

● Working from client information, project documentation and funder requirements

● Editing and proofreading draft applications

● Ensuring submissions fully address funder questions and eligibility criteria

● Preparing and submitting completed applications through online funding portals

● Managing multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously

● Maintaining a consistently high standard of accuracy and written quality

Funding Research & Opportunity Matching

A significant part of the role will involve researching potential sources of funding and

assessing their suitability.

You will:

● Research and identify relevant grants and funding programmes

● Review funding opportunities against eligibility and suitability criteria

● Match appropriate opportunities with organisations and projects

● Help maintain a strong ongoing pipeline of potential funding opportunities

● Contribute ideas for making research and opportunity-matching processes more

   efficient.

Technology & AI

Technology plays an important role in how the team operates, and the successful candidate

will be encouraged to use modern AI tools as part of their day-to-day work.

This could include using AI to support:

● Funding research and qualification

● Funder and programme research

● Opportunity matching

● Drafting and improving applications

● Editing and quality assurance

● Improving internal workflows and processes

This is not a technical or software development role.

Instead, we are looking for someone who is highly comfortable with technology, curious

about AI and interested in finding practical ways to use new tools to improve the quality and

efficiency of their work.

About You

We would particularly like to hear from candidates who:

● Have excellent professional writing, editing and proofreading skills

● Ideally have experience in grant writing, bid writing, proposal writing, fundraising or a

   closely related field

● Are confident researchers who can quickly assess and interpret funding opportunities

● Can understand detailed guidelines and translate complex information into clear,

   persuasive written applications

● Have exceptional attention to detail

● Are highly organised and comfortable managing competing deadlines

● Can work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment

● Are confident learning and working with new technology

● Have experience using AI tools or are keen to develop practical AI skills

● Enjoy improving processes and finding more efficient ways of working

● Take ownership of their work and consistently deliver to a high standard

What Success Looks Like

You will help ensure that suitable funding opportunities are consistently identified and that

high-quality applications are researched, written, reviewed and submitted accurately and on

Time.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to improving the systems and processes

used across the function as the organisation continues to grow.

The position has scope to evolve over time depending on the successful candidate’s

strengths, interests and performance.
