Duration: 12 months contract (Limited Term)

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). Six to eight years of relevant professional experience in training, facilitation and/or organizational capacity building in an international development or other grant-related context.

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A for any employer 

Travel: Domestic and international travel up to 20%. May require trips to hazardous locations.

Estimated hiring range: $87,700 - $124,520

The Job 

World Vision is seeking a Grant Capacity Senior Program Manager to serve in an important role building capacity around grant management and compliance within World Vision and with our partner organizations. 

To do this, the Senior Program Manager will analyze and identify training needs, develop and deliver a diverse range of learning opportunities (virtual, in-person, e-learning, one-on-one coaching, etc.) that translate complex regulations and policies into usable, understandable, and accessible tools, materials, and training, evaluating the effectiveness of these initiatives and making suggestions for improvement.

The Senior Program Manager will help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies while personifying the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

Responsibilities will include  

  • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role. 
  • Design, develop, and deploy learning materials, including job aids, resource guides and manuals, and eLearning content and courses, along with interactive workshops and refresher sessions.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training, using established curricula designed to build capacity, mitigate risk, and promote compliance. These include:
  • Gateway to Grants, a comprehensive grant management and compliance training focused on USG regulations and requirements
  • Grant Management Fundamentals, a cohort-based grant readiness and sustainability curriculum for NGO partners designed to strengthen internal systems for enhanced performance and sustainability
  • Training of Trainers, a workshop that equips staff to deliver dynamic and effective training online and in-person
  • Provide technical direction and implementation support for a portfolio of public and private grant projects. This may involve:
  • Serving as a subject matter expert for grant proposals
  • Supporting grant start-up during the first 90 days of project implementation
  • Collaborating with US, regional, and country-level stakeholders on capacity building initiatives for specific donors or projects
  • Leading or facilitating site visits, learning events, staff retreats, all-staff meetings, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

Requirements  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). 
  • In addition to education or education equivalent, a minimum of 6-8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Previous training, facilitation and/or capacity building experience. 
  • Proven experience managing large, complex projects, including grants from public or private donors.  
  • Broad sector knowledge and/or field experience in international development, including local capacity development or humanitarian and emergency programming.
  • Familiarity with online learning, collaboration, and facilitation platforms (i.e. MS Teams, Zoom, Workday Learning, Articulate 360)

Salary & Benefits 

WVUS Pay Grade Level: 226 

Estimated hiring range: $87,700 - $124,520
