About the Role
At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Google Ads Specialist to manage, optimize, and scale paid search campaigns across multiple client accounts.
This is a hands-on performance marketing role — not a strategy-only position.
You’ll be actively working inside Google Ads accounts every day to:
- Optimize Search and Performance Max campaigns
- Reduce Cost per Lead (CPL)
- Improve lead quality and conversion rates
- Troubleshoot conversion tracking
- Test new campaign strategies
- Scale campaigns that are performing
- Deliver clear, data-backed performance insights

What You’ll Own
Google Ads Campaign Management & Optimization
Manage campaigns across:
- Google Search Ads
- Performance Max
You’ll actively optimize:
- Bids
- Budgets
- Keywords
- Search terms
- Targeting
- Ad copy
- Campaign structure
Your focus will be on improving:
- Cost per Lead (CPL)
- Conversion rates
- Lead quality
- Campaign efficiency
- ROI
This role requires active account management — campaigns should never simply be placed on autopilot.
Lead Generation & Performance Optimization
- Manage paid campaigns specifically focused on generating qualified leads
- Analyze campaign and funnel performance
- Identify wasted spend and inefficient targeting
- Improve keyword and search-term quality
- Optimize budgets toward the strongest-performing campaigns
- Identify opportunities to scale without sacrificing lead quality
- Make fast, data-driven adjustments when performance changes
Campaign Setup & Testing
Build Google Ads campaigns from scratch, including:
- Campaign structure
- Ad groups
- Keywords
- Audience targeting
- Ad copy
- Conversion goals
Conduct ongoing:
- Keyword research
- Competitor analysis
- Ad testing
- Landing-page testing
- Targeting experiments
- A/B testing
Use results to continuously improve campaign performance.
Conversion Tracking & Technical Setup — Critical
Implement and maintain accurate conversion tracking using:
- Google Tag Manager
- Google Analytics
You’ll:
- Configure conversion events
- Validate tracking accuracy
- Troubleshoot broken or missing conversions
- Investigate data discrepancies
- Ensure reliable attribution
- Confirm campaigns are optimizing against meaningful business outcomes
You should be comfortable fixing tracking yourself rather than relying entirely on another technical team.
Analytics & Performance Monitoring
Monitor campaign performance using:
- Google Ads
- Google Analytics
- Google Tag Manager
- Campaign reporting dashboards
Analyze metrics such as:
- Cost per Lead (CPL)
- Conversion Rate
- Cost per Conversion
- Click-Through Rate (CTR)
- CPC
- Lead volume
- Campaign efficiency
- ROI
Identify underperformance quickly and take corrective action.
Reporting & Communication
Prepare weekly performance reports that clearly explain:
- What’s working
- What’s not working
- Why performance changed
- What should happen next
Translate advertising data into practical recommendations for internal teams and stakeholders.
Required Experience & Skills
Non-Negotiables
- 2+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience
- Active Google Ads Certification
- Proven experience managing lead generation campaigns
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Google Search Ads
- Performance Max
- Google Tag Manager
- Google Analytics
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting conversion tracking
- Strong understanding of keyword research and campaign optimization
- Ability to analyze performance and make data-driven decisions
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Ability to work during U.S. business hours
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns or accounts simultaneously
Nice to Have
- Google Shopping Ads experience
- Meta Ads / Paid Social experience
- GoHighLevel familiarity
- Agency or multi-client account experience
- Landing-page and conversion-rate optimization knowledge
- Experience working with CRM-based lead attribution

- Launching new ads or campaign tests
- Conducting keyword and competitor research
- Troubleshooting a conversion-tracking discrepancy
- Checking Google Analytics and Tag Manager
- Reviewing lead quality and campaign efficiency
- Preparing client or internal performance reports
- Identifying opportunities to scale successful campaigns
