You will lead the escalation team to resolve complex prior authorization and intake cases while managing rapid customer go-lives. Additionally, you will oversee capacity planning and collaborate with engineering to automate manual workflows through AI agent improvements.
Our AI agents process billions of dollars worth of therapies annually with patients in all fifty states. We do this by automating document intake, prior authorizations, and appeals at scale to streamline operations and accelerate care. We classify medical referrals, understand chart notes, and automate contract and reimbursement search to provide patients with accurate coverage determinations and cost responsibility. Think of us as the infrastructure behind how patients get their medications.
Trellis is a spinout from Stanford AI Lab and is backed by leading investors including YC, General Catalyst, Telesoft Partners, and executives at Google and Salesforce.
Trellis sells outcomes, not software. We tell specialty pharmacies and infusion providers that we will get their patients approved and on therapy faster than they can today. Our AI agents do most of the work. You own the rest, and you own the outcome.
Think of a GM who runs delivery at a fast-growing AI company. The customer signs, the clock starts, and four weeks later a team is live and hitting quality and deadlines. Same job here, except the unit of work is a prior authorization, a benefits check, or a patient intake. Starting in Q1 2027, customers go live on our outcome model, and you will staff and run every one of them.
Every case our agents can't finish is yours to resolve, through a mix of working cases yourself and building the team that handles them.
The escalation team: Every prior auth, benefits, and intake case our agents can't finish lands with your team. That means payer phone calls, submissions the provider has to sign, medical versus pharmacy benefit routing, stale submission statuses, and copay program windows.
Fast go-lives: Stand up a trained team in four to five weeks for each new customer. Recruit the best PA specialists away from provider offices and pay what it takes.
The capacity plan: Turn volume and escalation rates into headcount and schedules, including 7-day coverage for customers who never close. Plan for frontline turnover every 6 to 12 months.
A shrinking team: Capture what people do on calls and in edge cases, and feed it to engineering so the agents take it over. Success means your team does less of the same work every quarter.
The backstop: When volume spikes, your team absorbs it, so our engineers stay focused on the agents.
First 45 days: Our first outcome customer is live end to end, with a named team, a written SLA, and escalation rates measured by payer.
First 3 months: Every customer is live on SLA, with a forecast we trust and no engineers pulled off agent work to cover the queue.
You have run delivery or operations at a fast-growing company and answered for the result, not the process.
You have run continuous programs, not one-off projects. Our work renews every month.
You are relentless about execution. You work the hard cases yourself and build the team that handles the rest.
You make good calls with messy, incomplete data.
You create more than you complain. You find the problem, fix it, and then tell us about it.
No healthcare or RCM experience required. We can teach the domain. We can't teach ownership.
Real impact at massive scale: We serve patients in all fifty states and are scaling to hundreds of healthcare locations. You'll see exactly how many patients started therapy because the work ran right.
Incredible growth and traction: We've grown revenue 10x in the past few months alone.
Work with the founding team: Partner directly with founders and F500 customers, alongside healthcare operations leaders who have overseen 50+ locations.
Be at the forefront of AI in healthcare: Work on production-grade agentic systems that make critical healthcare decisions, not a demo.
World-class team: Join teammates who have won international physics olympiads, published economics research, were founding engineers at unicorn startups, and taught AI classes to hundreds of Stanford graduate students.
