Lead financial strategy, planning, and compliance for operations in India and the US. Oversee global accounting, taxation, treasury, and reporting while partnering with leadership to ensure profitability and scalability.

Role Overview:
The Head of Finance & Accounts will lead financial strategy, planning, and compliance for both India and US operations. This role requires strong expertise in cross-border taxation, transfer pricing, US GAAP & Indian accounting standards, and statutory compliance across both regions.
You will partner closely with business leaders to ensure financial discipline, profitability, and global scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Management
- Drive financial planning and strategy for India and US entities aligned with global business goals
- Advise leadership on profitability, pricing, project costing, and expansion plans
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations in both India and the US
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Oversee budgets, forecasts, and MIS reporting across geographies
- Consolidate India & US financial statements and ensure timely reporting
- Ensure compliance with Ind-AS, Indian GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS (if applicable)
- Track and report KPIs including margins, cash flow, receivables, and utilization
Accounting & Compliance
- Supervise end-to-end accounting, taxation, and audits for India & US operations
- Ensure compliance with:
- India: GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act, FEMA, SEZ/STPI
- US: Federal & State tax filings, US GAAP, 401(k), payroll compliance, SOX (if applicable)
- Manage transfer pricing, inter-company transactions, and cross-border fund movements
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors across both geographies
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Manage working capital, forex, and inter-company fund flows
- Build and maintain banking relationships in India and the US
- Monitor global cash flow to ensure liquidity and cost efficiency
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead finance & accounts teams in India and coordinate with US counterparts
- Drive automation and ERP implementation for seamless global reporting
- Mentor team members and instill financial discipline across the organization
Key Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / MBA (Finance) - Dual qualification preferred
- Experience: 18+ years of experience, with at least 10+ years in leadership role managing India + US finance and accounts
- Strong expertise in:
- Indian GAAP, Ind-AS, GST, Income Tax, FEMA
- US GAAP, Federal & State taxation, payroll compliance
- Transfer pricing & cross-border taxation
- Experience in multi-currency transactions, global client billing, and revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15)
- Proven ability to liaise with auditors, tax advisors, bankers, and regulatory authorities in both countries
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
