AdGem, part of AdAction, is on a strong growth trajectory with 12 consecutive quarters of quarter-over-quarter revenue growth. We are seeking an experienced General Manager, Strategic Partnerships to lead commercial growth and market development in Korea.
This is a highly autonomous, business-development-led role for an established commercial leader with deep relationships across Korea's ad tech, mobile publishing, loyalty, fintech, or digital ecosystem. The GM will personally build pipeline, develop and close high-value partnerships, drive revenue, and establish AdGem's presence in the market.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, highly connected, and comfortable operating independently. This person will serve as AdGem's senior commercial representative in Korea and should expect to be in-market approximately 50–75% of the time for partner meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Own and execute AdGem's commercial growth strategy in Korea, with direct responsibility for originating opportunities, building pipeline, and closing revenue-generating partnerships.
Identify, develop, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships across mobile publishing, loyalty, fintech, rewarded advertising, and digital ecosystems.
Own regional pipeline, revenue growth, forecasting, and overall commercial performance.
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key partners and decision-makers across Korea.
Represent AdGem at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build relationships and expand market presence.
Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to AdAction leadership on opportunities, competition, regulatory considerations, and local market trends in Korea.
Partner with internal product, operations, and account management teams to ensure successful launches and long-term partner growth.
Help shape the infrastructure, partnerships, and resources needed to scale AdGem's Korea business over time.
7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales within ad tech, mobile advertising, digital media, fintech, loyalty, or a related industry; general management or broader commercial leadership experience is a plus.
Proven track record of building revenue and closing strategic partnerships in Korea.
Deep expertise in Korea's local commercial and digital ecosystem, with an established senior-level network across the country's mobile publishing, ad tech, loyalty, fintech, or digital sectors.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage and close complex commercial partnerships.
Strong understanding of performance marketing and ad tech economics, including CPI, eCPM, ARPDAU, retention, LTV, and monetization.
Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable operating with significant autonomy.
Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Native-level Korean and fluency in English are required.
Willingness to travel extensively within Korea and regionally as needed, approximately 50–75% of the time.
Comfortable operating as an independent contractor/consultant.
This position is structured as an independent contractor/consulting engagement.
Compensation will include a competitive contractor rate and performance-based incentives tied to market growth and commercial performance. Compensation will be determined based on experience, location, market expertise, network, and demonstrated ability to drive revenue in Korea.
The contractor will be responsible for any applicable local registrations, taxes, insurance, and other obligations associated with their independent contractor status.
