Gaming Client #1 | Senior 2D Animator

On behalf of Gaming Client #1, SD Solutions is looking for a talented Senior 2D Animator with strong hands-on Unity experience to create high-quality, polished animations.

The ideal candidate combines excellent 2D animation skills with a strong sense of timing, motion, visual quality, and player feedback, and is comfortable implementing and refining animations directly in Unity.

Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality 2D animations for slot and social casino features.
• Animate slot symbols, UI elements, pop-ups, win screens, rewards, jackpots, feature activations, transitions, and celebration moments.
• Bring static 2D artwork to life while preserving its premium visual quality and style.
• Create motion that enhances the feeling of luxury, excitement, value, and reward.
• Independently set up, implement, test, and polish animations in Unity.
• Review animations directly in Unity and on mobile devices, refining timing, readability, responsiveness, and overall feel.
• Work closely with the Art Director, UI Artists, Technical Artist, Game Designers, and Developers to deliver polished in-game features.
• Proactively suggest animation and visual improvements where they can enhance the player experience.
  

Requirements:

• Senior-level portfolio demonstrating strong 2D game animation and excellent visual polish.
• Strong practical Unity experience is required, including implementing animation in real production projects.
• Strong experience in 2D game animation, ideally slots, social casino, casino, or polished mobile games.
• Excellent sense of timing, rhythm, weight, impact, easing, anticipation, and secondary motion.
• Strong understanding of Unity animation workflows, animation states, transitions, prefabs, and UI animation setup.
• Ability to independently take animation from source assets through Unity implementation and final in-game polish.
• Strong artistic eye for composition, readability, visual hierarchy, and overall quality.
• Ability to work efficiently and consistently deliver high-quality results.

Advantages:

• Previous experience with slot games and slot animation conventions.
• Experience with Spine or similar 2D animation tools and Unity integration.
• Basic knowledge of Unity shaders, particles, or lightweight VFX.
• Understanding of animation optimization for mobile games.
