About the role

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll help design, build and improve the platform behind our product. You'll work across backend, frontend and cloud, and ship secure, scalable and reliable software that helps customers detect fraud and automate complex verification workflows.

This role is ideal for a hands-on mid-level Full Stack Software Engineer who is confident contributing across Java, React, APIs, and Agile delivery, and is keen to deepen their capability across cloud, microservices, CI/CD, and enterprise SaaS engineering practices.

What you’ll be doing

• Build what customers see and rely on: Craft Java backend services and responsive React front ends that power real fraud-detection workflows.

• Shape the platform: Design and grow the microservices and APIs at the heart of our product.

• Build on the cloud: Work with AWS and Docker to run scalable, secure and resilient environments, and ship great software through CI/CD.

• Raise the bar: Review code, tackle technical debt and help set the engineering standards we all work to.

• Collaborate to deliver: Work in a fully Agile team with engineers and product managers to turn ideas into outcomes.

What you'll bring

• 3 to 6 years of commercial software engineering experience across the full stack

• Strong Java skills (JEE, Hibernate, Spring MVC or similar)

• Strong React and JavaScript skills

• Experience with microservices, distributed systems and API design

• Experience with Docker and AWS

• Familiarity with CI/CD, Gradle and Maven

• A commitment to code quality, security and scalability

• Clear communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and transparently with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Hands-on AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation and more) and Azure DevOps

• Experience contributing to enterprise SaaS platforms or products used by regulated customers.

• Exposure to fintech, financial services, fraud prevention or compliance environments

• Curiosity about customer problems and an interest in helping prevent financial crime
