The BSN Online Program is seeking experienced, full-time nursing faculty to support didactic instruction. This role also includes primary teaching responsibilities within the Health Assessment sequence (NR-302 and NR-304), supporting student development in foundational and advanced assessment skills essential for clinical decision-making.
Faculty will teach the following courses:
NR-302: Health Assessment I
This course introduces students to foundational principles and techniques of nursing assessment, including patient history taking, interview and communication strategies, and physical examination methods such as inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation. Emphasis is placed on the nurse’s role in conducting comprehensive health assessments that incorporate physical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and spiritual components.
The laboratory portion supports development of cognitive and psychomotor skills, with hands-on practice assessing the integumentary, head and neck, lymphatic, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems through experiential learning.
NR-304: Health Assessment II
This course builds on prior knowledge, focusing on the application of comprehensive assessment findings to clinical decision-making. Students learn to identify patient education needs, integrate assessment data, and document findings professionally.
The lab component advances psychomotor competency in assessing peripheral vascular, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, neurological, and genitourinary systems (including breast assessment), with continued emphasis on experiential and applied learning.

Qualifications Graduate:
*Education and experience must align with regulations in the state. Complies with the rules and regulations of state authorization agencies, which may include the higher education board and/or licensing board in multiple states.
Teaching Requirements
Scholarship Requirements: Demonstrates scholarship congruent with the level of rank.
Activities that would be considered as scholarship have three characteristics. Scholarship must be: 1) made public, 2) open to critical review and evaluation by knowledgeable peers and 3) accessible for exchange and use by others.
The Assistant Professor Faculty member is required to demonstrate at least one example within one of the four following focus areas of professional development and scholarship (detailed examples of each rank are outlined in the faculty handbook for reference).
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $68,637.22 and $124,230.14. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
