About the Position

We are looking for an experienced, high-energy, and deeply capable Freelance Social Media Manager to own Toloka’s organic social media strategy and execution. You are a doer and a self-starter who thrives in high-growth, technical environments. You will be the voice of Toloka across corporate accounts and executive profiles, creating compelling content that resonates with a highly technical audience (AI researchers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and tech leaders).

This role requires a unique combination of sharp technical comprehension, exceptional copywriting, and hands-on creative agility. If you love translating complex AI concepts into engaging social copy, staying on top of the latest social trends, creating design briefs and multimedia content, this role is for you.

What you’ll do

• Social Strategy & Calendar Ownership: Build, manage, and execute the end-to-end global social media content calendar across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Reddit, and YouTube.
• Executive Thought Leadership: Manage personal branding and social presence for key Toloka executives, writing authentic, high-impact posts that position our leadership as industry experts.
• Technical Copywriting & Messaging: Write clear, compelling, and punchy social copy. Translate deep technical concepts (RLHF, synthetic data, model evaluation, fine-tuning) into digestible and engaging content.
• Community Management & Engagement: Proactively engage with developers, tech communities, and industry leaders on LinkedIn, X, and Reddit. Foster discussion, tap in-house experts for commentary, monitor brand mentions, and drive engagement.
• Content Creation & Hands-On Execution:
• Draft comprehensive design briefs for our internal visual design team.
• Roll up your sleeves when needed: pull and edit video clips from podcasts/webinars, create fast social graphics using Canva, or whip up quick visual assets as needed.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the content team to amplify blog posts, whitepapers, event appearances, and product announcements.
• Performance & Optimization: Track social analytics, establish key engagement benchmarks, and continuously test new content formats and messaging approaches.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on social media management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, enterprise tech, or the fast-moving AI industry.
• Audience Familiarity: Comfortable and confident writing for a highly technical target audience (data scientists, ML engineers, AI builders).
• Platform Mastery: Deep proficiency with LinkedIn, X, and Reddit. Strong experience with YouTube is a major plus.
• Exceptional Copywriting: A stellar writer who writes human, thoughtful, and high-converting copy. Allergic to AI slop, clichés, or fluff.
• Multichannel Copywriting Experience: Proven track record writing or contributing to tech blogs, newsletters, and email campaigns is a strong plus.
• Design & Multimedia Skills:
• Ability to write robust, detailed visual design briefs.
• Hands-on visual/video editing skills in a pinch (Canva, Figma, CapCut, Premiere, or similar tools).
• Executive Presence: Experience managing C-suite or executive social media channels, capturing their distinct tone of voice.
• Mindset: A true self-starter and doer who takes full ownership, manages multiple priorities independently, and moves quickly in a dynamic tech environment.
