The role.

Huge is looking for a Freelance Senior Software Engineer to support Salesforce development, integrations, and enterprise technology initiatives. This role is primarily focused on hands on software engineering, with additional responsibility for translating requirements into technical solutions and supporting documentation.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Salesforce development, Apex, Lightning components, APIs and enterprise integrations, along with solid software engineering fundamentals and experience working in Agile environments.

What you'll be doing.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex and Lightning components.
• Build and support integrations between Salesforce and external or enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs and common integration patterns.
• Support the Salesforce Marketing Cloud migration and CheckMarket integration from a technical development perspective.
• Develop solutions for capabilities such as survey lookup, PDF generation, and user management.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation tasks.
• Troubleshoot, debug, test, and optimize Salesforce applications and integrations.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, refinement, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and integration documentation.
• Collaborate with business, product, and technical teams to clarify requirements and define effective technical solutions.
• Work independently, prioritize tasks, identify risks, and deliver within the scope and timeline of a freelance engagement.

What we'd like to see.

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong hands-on experience developing and integrating Salesforce solutions.
• Strong experience with Salesforce development, Apex, Lightning components, and Salesforce APIs/integrations.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external and enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, debugging, testing, version control, and scalable application development.
• Experience supporting Salesforce Marketing Cloud migrations and/or enterprise Salesforce integration projects.
• Experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical and API documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a defined freelance engagement.
• Nice to have: Experience with CheckMarket, survey platforms, PDF generation, or user-management solutions.
