Job Description

This role can be based out of Mumbai, Gurgaon or Bangalore.

The work location of this role is remote, meaning it will be performed from the designated home work location upon time of hire, and any changes to this home work location requires a review of remote status and approval. 

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical partner working directly with customers to turn complex solutions into production. You will help accelerate deployments, remove technical and implementation blockers, and drive successful launches of solutions such as MCP deployments. You’ll collaborate closely with customers and internal Engineering, Product, and Solutions teams to solve real-world technical challenges and ensure our technology delivers meaningful impact. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in ambiguous environments, enjoys working directly with customers, and takes end-to-end ownership from implementation through launch. 

Please note that the shift timings for this role will be 5:30 pm to 2:30 am IST as the incumbent will support our global customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with customers to understand complex business and technical problems and translate them into scalable solutions. 
• Design, build, test, and deploy production-quality software tailored to customer needs. 
• Develop applications, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, automation, and workflows using modern engineering practices. 
• Partner with customers and internal teams to prototype solutions, iterate based on feedback, and drive successful implementation. 
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize solutions in customer environments. 
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Solutions, and other cross-functional teams to deliver customer outcomes. 
• Translate ambiguous or evolving requirements into clear technical designs and actionable development plans. 
• Identify common customer challenges and provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams to influence product improvements. 
• Communicate technical concepts, solution designs, and implementation approaches clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects, from discovery and solution design through development, deployment, and adoption. 
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and a high degree of autonomy. 
• Travel to customer sites when required. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering or application development experience. 
• Experience with programming in one or more languages such as Python, Java, Go, C++, or TypeScript. 
• Experience in building and deploying production-grade software applications, APIs, integrations, or data systems. 
• Knowledge of software development fundamentals, databases, APIs, and distributed systems. 
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through ambiguous and complex technical challenges.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams. 
• Ownership, adaptability, and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 
• Experience in a customer-facing engineering, solutions engineering, consulting, or technical implementation role. 
• Experience working with AI/ML technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs), or generative AI applications. 
• Experience building data pipelines, analytics platforms, or enterprise integrations. 
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices. 
• Experience with cloud-native application development and infrastructure. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Familiarity with system design, microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems. 
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, or other business applications. 
• Experience taking products or technical solutions from prototype to production. 
• Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions. 
• Experience working in high-growth startups or environments characterized by rapid change and ambiguity.
