Nodeworthy is supporting a leading Solana-based decentralized exchange in hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer.
We are looking for a hands-on, full-stack builder who enjoys shipping products, solving technical problems, and helping external developers build successfully. You will divide your time between developing special projects and working directly with developers and ecosystem partners integrating with the company’s platform.
This is not a traditional technical support or documentation role. You will work directly with the codebase, build prototypes and integrations, troubleshoot complex issues, and translate developer feedback into product improvements.
Own and deliver end-to-end projects across frontend, backend, and on-chain systems.
Prototype new product ideas, internal tools, integrations, and developer-facing solutions.
Build practical solutions that improve the experience of developers and ecosystem partners.
Move quickly from problem identification to a functional implementation.
Provide hands-on technical guidance to developers integrating with SDKs, APIs, command-line tools, and on-chain programs.
Troubleshoot frontend, backend, and blockchain-related issues alongside the engineering team.
Investigate integration problems involving TypeScript, Rust, APIs, indexing systems, and databases.
Develop adapters, scripts, sample applications, or other technical solutions when required.
Create technical documentation, tutorials, sample code, and product demonstrations.
Help developers understand how to build secure and reliable integrations.
Participate in technical workshops, webinars, hackathons, and developer events.
Identify recurring developer pain points and recommend improvements to the platform and documentation.
Act as a bridge between the company’s on-chain, frontend, and backend engineering teams.
Translate external developer feedback into clear, actionable technical requirements.
Keep up with developments across the Solana ecosystem and communicate relevant changes internally and externally.
At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in both Rust and TypeScript.
Practical experience building on Solana or another high-performance Layer 1 blockchain.
Comfortable working across frontend, backend, and on-chain systems.
Able to independently build and launch functional prototypes.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working directly with developers, partners, open-source communities, or technical users.
You have won or placed in hackathons.
You regularly build side projects or contribute to open-source projects.
You have a strong GitHub profile or portfolio demonstrating what you have shipped.
You can explain complex technical concepts without unnecessary jargon.
You are resourceful and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
You understand the culture, products, and user behaviour within Solana DeFi.
Previous Developer Relations or developer advocacy experience.
Experience creating technical content, tutorials, workshops, or conference presentations.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, indexing systems, databases, and API design.
Experience supporting production integrations for external developers or partners.
