We’re looking for a strong communicator, organized problem-solver, and transportation-minded professional who can manage day-to-day fleet operations, support drivers, secure backhauls, and keep freight moving for key customer accounts.
Hiring Range: $63,000–$72,000, based on experience
Location: Remote within Texas
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with a rotating Saturday shift approximately once per month from 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

You’re comfortable managing multiple dedicated fleets, balancing customer expectations, supporting drivers, coordinating backhauls, and staying on top of the details that keep daily operations running smoothly.
You know how to prioritize, communicate clearly, stay calm when plans change, and make decisions that support both driver success and customer service. You’re also comfortable working with DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, transportation systems, and the daily urgency that comes with managing freight operations.
Bonus points if you have experience with TMW, Omnitracs, Qualcomm, or managing dedicated customer accounts!

What You’ll Do
As a Dedicated Fleet Manager, you’ll:
Manage day-to-day operations for multiple Dedicated Fleets, including Best Buy, Hobby Lobby, Altman Plants, and other customer accounts
Plan and assign loads to support driver productivity, equipment utilization, and customer expectations
Secure and coordinate backhauls to improve equipment utilization and support account performance
Communicate regularly with drivers regarding schedules, directions, customer expectations, home time, and working conditions
Monitor Hours of Service and DOT compliance before dispatching drivers
Manage driver mileage expectations based on account goals
Track driver status, equipment needs, arrivals, departures, appointments, and service updates
Coordinate scheduled truck maintenance with the Maintenance Department
Work with brokers, shippers, and consignees to schedule or adjust appointments
Support driver payroll-related items, including advances, layovers, and non-driving pay
Communicate driver status changes to Safety, Payroll, Maintenance, and other internal teams
Schedule driver time off in line with company policies
Support driver attendance at required safety meetings and training
Monitor driver documentation requirements, including trip envelopes and related paperwork
Provide input on driver evaluations, performance, discipline, and terminations
Support operations leadership with division-level initiatives and projects
Knowledge and Skills to Be Successful
2+ years of transportation industry experience in a non-driver role
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to problem-solve independently and make sound decisions
Professional, patient, and fair approach to driver support and conflict resolution
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to adapt quickly when priorities shift
Positive attitude, emotional intelligence, and willingness to take ownership
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected to drivers, customers, and internal teams

QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:
2+ years of transportation industry experience in a non-driver role.
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements.
Experience supporting fleet operations, dispatch, freight planning, or driver coordination.
Ability to work remotely from Texas.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Fleet Manager, Dispatcher, Driver Manager, or similar role.
Experience managing dedicated customer accounts or multiple fleet assignments.
Experience securing backhauls or working with brokers, shippers, and consignees.
Experience with TMW, Omnitracs, Qualcomm, or similar systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer, phone, keyboard, and mouse.
Ability to communicate regularly by phone, email, video meeting, and system messaging.
Ability to view screens and enter data for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds.
About the Role
The salary grade for this position ranges from $61,800.00 - $86,500.00/yr. Starting pay within this range will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
