Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Remote - United Kingdom
Contract: Fixed-Term for 6 months
In this role, you will be responsible for the financial accounting, reporting, control, and statutory compliance of the Middle East legal entities with a key focus on the UAE. This role ensures that timely, accurate and high-quality financial information is delivered to Group Finance and local stakeholders in accordance with local requirements and regulations.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
Own and lead the financial accounting and reporting activities for ME entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information.
Ensure all local tax filings and statutory deadlines are met in full compliance with local legislation, working in conjunction with the Group Tax team.
Perform regular reviews of balance sheets, reconciliations and cash flows.
Resolve discrepancies and drive consistent reconciliation quality and documentation standards.
Actively manage and enhance working capital performance by building a strong understanding of key drivers and movements across ME entities and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Manage relationships with external and internal auditors and ensure audits are completed on time and without significant issues.
Ensure compliance with all local accounting, taxation, and regulatory requirements across ME entities.
Review payroll outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare final settlements for ME leavers in accordance with local labour and statutory requirements.
Take ownership of additional ad‑hoc finance‑related responsibilities as required to support the ME region and Group Finance objectives.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 8 years’ experience in accounting, financial reporting, controlling, audit or finance leadership.
Understanding of the Middle East and/or UAE processes and requirements.
Experience of tax accounting and indirect tax matters.
Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills.

The salary for this position will range from £58,500 - £78,000 annually. Please note the advertised salary range reflects the level, scope and responsibilities of the role. Starting salary within the range will be determined based on experience, skills, market considerations and alignment with internal equity principles.
