WORK LOCATION

PAY TRANSPARANCY
This role will offer $65,000 - $73,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in driving business performance through data-driven financial analysis, insight generation, and modern reporting. This role leverages NetSuite, Vena Solutions, and AI-assisted tooling (Claude) to deliver timely financial intelligence, support the monthly management reporting cycle, perform department-level analysis, and contribute to financial modeling efforts. The ideal candidate is analytically sharp, comfortable with cloud-based financial platforms, and able to translate complex data into clear narratives for leadership and business partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and produce the monthly management reporting package, including P&L commentary, key performance indicators, and executive-level variance analysis, leveraging NetSuite and Vena Solutions as primary reporting platforms.
- Perform department-level financial analysis, partnering with business leaders to review actuals versus budget, identify cost drivers, and surface actionable insights that inform resource and operational decisions.
- Utilize AI tools, including Claude, to accelerate data analysis, draft financial commentary, identify trends, and improve the efficiency and quality of recurring and ad-hoc financial deliverables.
- Support the month-end close process by analyzing financial results in NetSuite, maintaining Vena-based reporting templates, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of management financials prior to distribution.
- Maintain and improve company-wide cost allocations that align with the company’s financial framework to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the closing process.
- Create, analyze, and distribute financial reports for varied audiences — including monthly management packages, quarterly business reviews, and ad-hoc requests — translating data from NetSuite and Vena into clear narratives backed by income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive cashflow forecast to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Support the annual budget and rolling forecast process within Vena Solutions, contributing to scenario modeling and financial projections that help leadership evaluate strategic resource allocation decisions.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Strong understanding of financial concepts, forecasting methods, and data-driven decision-making.
- Accounting & Reporting: Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, and financial statement analysis.
- Technology & Automation: Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP and Vena Solutions (or comparable CPM/reporting platforms); familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Claude to accelerate analysis, reporting, and financial commentary.
- Data Analytics & Visualization: Ability to interpret complex data, use Power Query/Pivot, and present insights clearly.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Strong skills in financial planning, variance analysis, and strategic resource allocation.
- Communication & Storytelling: Expertise in translating financial data into compelling narratives for stakeholders.
- Extensive Microsoft Excel experience.
- Prior experience with Vena Solutions for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting is strongly preferred; familiarity with Bill.com, BambooHR, or Smartsheet is a plus.
- Working knowledge of NetSuite ERP (financial reporting, saved searches, custom reports) required; experience with AI tools such as Claude for financial analysis and reporting workflows preferred; Power Query/Power Pivot experience is a plus.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0–2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, finance, or a related field, with exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and the use of financial systems and data analysis tools to support business decision-making.
