About the role
To support the effective delivery of Nutrition International (NI) programs in Nigeria by ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial processing, accounting, reporting and control. The Finance Officer supports the Corporate Services function in maintaining sound financial records and systems; processing payments and payroll-related transactions; supporting budgeting, audits and statutory compliance; and ensuring adherence to NI policies and procedures, applicable accounting standards, donor requirements and Nigerian laws and regulations.

Education & Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized institution.
• A recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ANAN or equivalent), or progress toward such qualification, is an advantage.
Experience
• At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting or a similar role, preferably within an international NGO or donor-funded environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, financial controls, reconciliations, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory requirements relevant to employers and organizational operations.
• Experience supporting program finance, contracts, audits, payroll, procurement and administrative financial processes.
• Experience using accounting/ERP systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
