Position Overview:
In charge of leading a finance and accounting team, ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations. To manage customer accounts, addressing financial requests and ensuring high service levels. To support reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities. To improve processes, implement best practices, and mentor team members for continued growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following [US GAAP - 280E standards].
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance and deliver key insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads.
- Monitor variances and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and audit requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and enforce robust internal controls and policies.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor junior finance team members.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customers’ operations, HR, legal, and other departments.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives in financial operations.
- Other Administrative Support:
- Provide support to Management as needed.
- Help streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
- Tools: Excel (intermediate to advanced); ERP systems (intermediate; QBO desired); Familiarity with GSuite and Slack.
- Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, attention to detail, organizational abilities, time management, conversational English (C1-C2), good communication skills, both written and verbal, interest in process improvement and automation and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
