Field Service Engineer

JBT Marel is looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our Nordic Service team, supporting customers across Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining advanced food processing equipment while building strong relationships with customers. You will work closely with colleagues across the Nordic region and Europe, contributing to high service standards and customer satisfaction.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys travel, hands-on technical work, and solving complex challenges in a dynamic environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Carry out inspections, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Rebuild and upgrade equipment as required to ensure optimal performance.
• Train customers on operation, maintenance, safety, and cleaning procedures.
• Provide remote support to customers via phone and email.
• Complete service reports and documentation following each visit.
• Identify spare parts requirements and support parts recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.

About You

You are a hands-on and solution-oriented engineer who enjoys working directly with customers. You are flexible, self-motivated, and thrive in a role that combines technical expertise with travel and customer interaction.

You are comfortable working independently while also being part of a collaborative, international team.

Experience & Qualifications

• Technical education within, electrical, mechanical or related engineering field.
• Experience in a field service or maintenance role, ideally within industrial equipment.
• Work requires both mechanical and electrical skills. Experience in the electrical field is required.  
• Valid driving licence.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of a Nordic language (e.g. Swedish) is an advantage.
• Experience working in an international environment is beneficial.

Travel & Location

• Based in Sweden, Denmark, or Norway.
• Travel requirement of approximately 60–70%, including frequent overnight stays.
• Weekend work may be required (up to 35–40 weekends per year), with flexibility to take time off during weekdays.
• Travel primarily within the Nordic region, with occasional support across Europe.
