FACILITY INPATIENT REHAB CODING SPECIALIST

We recognize and understand some of the challenges and feelings of isolation that can come with remote work, so we've dialed in on what makes working remotely successful for our valued employees.   What you’ll do: Analyze inpatient rehab medical records, operative reports, and physician notes to properly code the charts Review IRF-PAI documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10 codes Determine the correct Impairment Group Code (IGC) Understand how CMS calculates rehab reimbursement - difference between DRG/PCS vs. IRF-PAI/IRF-PPS Understand how coding affects Case-Mix Groups (CMGs) and payment Meet or exceed high quality and productivity standards, to provide exceptional coding services to our clients Communicate and collaborate with inpatient coders and managers to address the dynamic needs of our clients Keep active coding certifications and complete continuing education to maintain expertise   What you’ll need: Active AHIMA or AAPC coding credentials are required Minimum of 2-3 years of Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) coding experience, including IRF-PAI review and understanding of IGC and CMG methodologies preferred 3 years ICD-10 PCS coding experience Access to high speed internet and workstation. Ensource IT requirements are available upon request Epic experience is a plus.
