About SafelyYou
SafelyYou’s passionate mission is to empower safer, more person-centered care across senior living through world-leading AI, industry-changing hardware, and remote expert clinicians, significantly improving outcomes for residents while increasing peace of mind for families and reducing costs for communities.
Originating in 2015 as the doctoral research of CEO George Netscher—and inspired by his own family's experience with Alzheimer's disease—SafelyYou was spun out of UC Berkeley’s Artificial Intelligence Research Lab, one of the top five AI research groups in the world. And today, our company is solving critical challenges in senior living, from resident falls and ER visits to staffing concerns, length of stay, and NOI. All helping ensure that communities can focus on improved care for residents while still reaching their financial goals.
SafelyYou is one of five most innovative fall technologies referenced in the Senate Falls Report (2019), a winner of the McKnight’s Tech Partner of the Year, and has been named to Fortune’s Impact 20 list, which recognizes companies making people’s lives better through innovation.
Your Role at SafelyYou
SafelyYou is looking for an Events Manager to own our events program. This role sits at the intersection of marketing and sales — your primary focus is driving high-quality lead generation through trade shows and industry conferences, with secondary ownership of SafelyYou-produced and internal events.
In additional to all logistics and planning for the events, you’ll own the full event lifecycle: orchestrating targeted pre-event communications that build pipeline before the booth opens, driving meaningful engagement on the floor, and driving post-event follow-up that converts conversations into opportunities. You'll work closely with the Director of Growth and the broader sales and marketing teams to ensure every event we attend or host drives measurable impact.
You work best in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative environment and are enthusiastic about making a real difference in senior care.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Strategy & Lead Generation
Partner closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop our events strategy, with a focus on industry trade shows and conferences as a primary channel for qualified lead generation
Drive high-quality engagement at every event — curating meaningful interactions with target prospects, maximizing booth traffic, and ensuring SafelyYou's presence leaves a lasting impression
Orchestrate pre-event communications: targeted outreach to prospects and customers ahead of each event to build awareness, schedule meetings, and maximize attendance at SafelyYou activations
Drive post-event follow-up: coordinate timely, personalized outreach to leads and contacts to convert event conversations into pipeline, in close partnership with the sales team
Track, gather, and report event metrics including but not limited to budgeting and expenses, leads, pipeline, and ROI against goals set
Trade Show & Conference Execution
Track and manage speaker and presenter application submissions, including monitoring deadlines, organizing submissions, and managing the process through to the event
Drive end-to-end logistics for conferences, including:
Budgeting for all aspects of events
Planning and execution of Activations at events, and any partner coordination necessary for activations
Booth development, production, setup/teardown, storage, and shipping
Supporting materials and collateral production
Internal team coordination (registrations, travel, accommodations, swag shipment)
Onsite event support (dinner coordination, happy hours, lunches, meetings, etc.)
SafelyYou-Produced & Internal Events
Support the planning, development, and execution of SafelyYou-owned events (internal or external), including in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats
Manage event agency and vendor procurement (onsite, registration, venue, catering, shipping, A/V, entertainment, etc.)
Coordinate closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams on event content and audience strategy
Manage overall event attendee coordination (travel, accommodations, run-of-show)
Assist HR on logistics for company meetings and internal team-building initiatives across our distributed, coast-to-coast team
Coordinate with the San Francisco Office Manager or Third Party Warehouse on event materials, storage, and shipping
Manage multiple, diverse projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Support the broader marketing team on other initiatives as needed to reach team and company goals
