Position Summary

AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Event & Protocol Manager to support its mission of inspiring future leaders through exceptional educational experiences by leading the planning and execution of the university's official events and protocol activities. This role is responsible for overseeing VIP visits, ceremonial functions, institutional events, and protocol standards while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver memorable experiences that reflect AUIB's values, reputation, and brand. The ideal candidate is a strategic, detail-oriented professional with a passion for event leadership, diplomacy, and excellence in institutional representation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Protocol Management: Develop, maintain, and implement the university's official protocol manual and standards.
  2. Manage VIP Visits: Coordinate all logistics for official delegations, distinguished guests, and diplomatic visits.
  3. Deliver Major Institutional Events: Plan and oversee commencements, ceremonial events, official celebrations, and university functions.
  4. Coordinate Cross-Functional Activities: Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
  5. Maintain Brand & Institutional Standards: Ensure every official event reflects AUIB's image, protocol requirements, and quality standards.

Education and Experience

  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in event management, protocol, hospitality, or institutional relations.
  • Specific Skills or Expertise: 

    - Protocol management.

    - VIP event planning.

    - Stakeholder management.

    - Event logistics and coordination.

    - Microsoft Office and event management software.

  • Additional Certifications: Professional certification in Event Management, Hospitality, Protocol, or Project Management is preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: 

    - Professional and diplomatic.

    - Highly organized.

    - Collaborative and service-oriented.
