ERP/SAP Transformation Lead - Automotive

The impact of the role: 

Our client is a leading global automotive group building a new European ERP Core Team to lead a large-scale SAP transformation across its European operations. This is a client-side role at the heart of the program. You will shape how the business and IT work together, drive the future ERP landscape, and hold system integrators and vendors to account. 

On a given day, an ERP SAP Transformation Lead you will: 

• Lead or contribute to the end-to-end ERP/SAP transformation across European entities, from design through deployment.

• Translate business needs into scalable process and solution designs across manufacturing, supply chain, finance and sales.

• Act as a trusted partner to senior business and IT stakeholders, aligning priorities and driving decisions.

• Manage, steer and challenge system integrators and vendors on scope, quality, timelines and cost. 

• Ensure coherence across architecture, business processes and integrations end to end.

• Support governance, roadmap planning and the build-up of the internal ERP capability.

Requirements

In order to be successful in this role you will need: 

• 10+ years of experience in ERP/SAP, including senior roles in large-scale enterprise implementations. 

• Experience in the manufacturing industry; automotive or discrete manufacturing is a strong plus. 

• At least one full-lifecycle ERP program, ideally S/4HANA (greenfield or brownfield). 

• Proven stakeholder management across business and IT at senior level. 

• Experience managing and challenging SIs or vendors, ideally from the client side. 

• A solid understanding of architecture, business processes and integration across functions. 

• Experience on European or global programs in multicultural environments. 

• Business-level English. 

Amazing if you have: 

• Program management or architecture certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, TOGAF). 

• Experience working with Japanese companies. 

• Additional European languages (e.g. French, Dutch, German, Polish, Czech).
