This is a remote position.
Main Line Talent Group is partnering with a division of a global, publicly traded manufacturing group on an active Epicor Kinetic implementation. We are seeking a Senior Epicor Finance Functional Consultant to serve as the primary finance subject matter expert for the program.
This is a functional leadership seat, not a project management role. The organization has separate program governance in place. This person owns the finance side of the solution: translating business requirements into Epicor capability, driving design decisions, and making sure the finance organization adopts what gets built.
The finance design for this program is being built rather than inherited. Chart of accounts structure, multi-company setup, intercompany treatment, and consolidation approach are live decisions on this project. The role spans multiple operating locations and reporting entities, with results rolling up to a global parent.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Epicor Kinetic finance functional subject matter expert for the program
- Own finance workstream design across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and financial reporting
- Drive chart of accounts structure, multi-company setup, intercompany processing, and consolidation approach to decision and sign off
- Lead cross-functional requirements sessions spanning Finance, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales, and align those requirements to standard Epicor capability
- Partner directly with the internal ERP team and the external implementation partner, and hold the partner accountable to the agreed design
- Validate data migration for finance master data and balances, including reconciliation of converted data
- Build and execute finance test scenarios through CRP and UAT, and drive defect resolution to closure
- Develop and deliver end user training for the finance organization, and support hypercare through go-live and stabilization
- Provide ongoing Epicor functional leadership post go-live, including business process owner responsibilities as needed
Requirements
Required
- 7+ years of ERP functional consulting or ERP finance leadership experience, with significant time in Epicor
- Hands-on Epicor Kinetic financials experience across at least one full lifecycle implementation, from requirements through go-live and stabilization
- Multi-company and multi-site Epicor experience, including intercompany transactions and consolidation
- Demonstrated ownership of a chart of accounts design, including segment structure and governance across entities
- Deep functional knowledge of Epicor General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial reporting
- Working knowledge of how Epicor finance connects to manufacturing and supply chain, including inventory, WIP, and job costing, and the ability to reconcile those subledgers to the General Ledger
- Demonstrated ability to run requirements workshops with senior finance stakeholders and drive decisions to closure
- Strong accounting foundation, including month end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Experience working alongside a third party implementation partner and holding that partner accountable to the design
Preferred
- Experience in an environment where a divisional ERP feeds a corporate consolidation or group reporting platform
- Multi-currency, translation, and cross-border reporting exposure
- Standard costing experience in a discrete or mixed-mode manufacturing environment
- Sales and use tax configuration and third party tax engine integration
- Prior experience in a business process owner or ERP steady-state ownership role after go-live
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent finance credential
