Epic Project Manager

Must have past Epic Project Management experience working on implementations.

Description

A large integrated Health System in Pennsylvania is looking for help with their Epic Tapestry implementation. This project recently kicked off in March and will have a two wave go live October 2027/January 2028.

They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Epic implementation.

Management Responsibilities

• Maintain scope, schedule, and quality within assigned areas

• Set clear expectations for team members across each phase of the project

• Collaborate closely with the Project Director and fellow Project Managers

• Ensure active engagement from the business community

• Provide guidance, coaching, and share key project success factors and lessons learned

• Communicate the benefits of innovation and system capabilities

• Reinforce project priorities alongside executive leadership and maintain consistent communication with the team

• Coordinate and organize internal resources

• Motivate the team and recognize contributions

• Align team member skills with appropriate responsibilities

• Manage both high-level organizational aspects and detailed project tasks

Core Responsibilities

• Serve as a support contact for the assigned area

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues

• Guide workflow design, system build, testing, and technical analysis related to Epic software

• Act as a liaison between organizational stakeholders and Epic implementation staff

• Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives, including participation in weekly meetings

• Partner with stakeholders and end users to ensure solutions meet business needs and timelines

• Develop an understanding of operational requirements to inform workflow design

• Support training efforts and work directly with end users

• Provide regular status updates to leadership

• Facilitate weekly team communications on deliverables, issues, user concerns, budget, and milestones

• Lead integrated efforts spanning multiple applications

This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
