Pay: $8.00-$15.00 per hour Depending on Experience + Performance Bonuses Available

Work Schedule: Must be available during Central Standard Time (CST) business hours for meetings and collaboration.

Position Overview

Strittmatter Wealth Management Group is seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Enrolled Agent (EA) Contractor to support our growing tax and financial planning practice. This role will assist with tax preparation, tax planning, IRS correspondence, and client support while collaborating with advisors to deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual, business, trust, and partnership tax returns

Provide proactive tax planning recommendations for clients

Respond to IRS notices and assist clients with tax-related issues

Conduct tax research and stay current with federal and state tax regulations

Assist advisors with tax-efficient retirement and investment planning strategies

Review client financial information for accuracy and completeness

Prepare tax projections and year-end tax planning reports

Maintain detailed client records and documentation

Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and document requests

Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and firm standards

Collaborate with advisors and operations staff to support client needs

Track productivity, deadlines, and project status updates

Qualifications

Active Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required

Minimum 3 years of tax preparation and tax planning experience

Strong knowledge of federal tax laws and regulations

Experience preparing complex individual and business tax returns

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

Experience working with financial advisors, CPA firms, or wealth management firms preferred

Strong client service orientation

Software & Technology Skills

Tax preparation software experience required

Experience with Drake Tax, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar platforms preferred

Microsoft Office Suite

Adobe Acrobat

CRM systems experience

Redtail CRM experience preferred

Must have reliable high-speed internet (this will be verified)
