The Electrical BIM Modeler is responsible for creating and maintaining 3D models using BIM software to ensure accurate project requirements and resolve design conflicts. They will produce electrical installation drawings and wire routing layouts while collaborating with engineers and contractors.

Location: Remote
The main responsibilities of the Electrical BIM Modeler include creating and maintaining 3D models using BIM software, collaborating with contractors, engineers, and other members of the construction planning services team, ensuring the models are accurate and meet project requirements, and using the models to identify and resolve conflicts or issues during the design phase. This individual will produce jobsite electrical installation drawings based on innovative and efficient practices. He or she will be responsible for applying BIM/VDC knowledge, concepts, and experience to size, evaluate, select, and specify raceway and wire routing for electrical power, lighting, and auxiliary systems in accordance with relevant codes and standards. Utilizing existing custom Southwire technology tools as well as industry BIM/VDC tools and technologies.
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Years of Experience: 2-4 years
Field of Expertise: Electrical Modeling/Design
Licenses/Certificates: BIM Technology Certification, Autodesk Certified Professional
