Make a Difference!

The Intern – Education & Training and Comprehensive Cleft Care will support the Programs team the implementation, monitoring, and documentation of Smile Train’s Education & Training initiatives and Comprehensive Cleft Care (CCC) across India. The intern will assist in program coordination, research, data analysis, stakeholder communication, and development of training materials.

 

Reports To

Senior Director, Education & Training and Comprehensive Cleft Care, India

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and coordinating training workshops for healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinating fellowships and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and organizing training materials and resources.
  • Creating and maintaining evaluation tools.
  • Tracking records of training participants and outcomes.
  • Assist in coordinating Comprehensive Cleft Care (CCC) initiatives.
  • Assist in supporting CCC multidisciplinary services (feeding/nutrition, speech therapy, orthodontics).
  • Tracking and documenting CCC activities across partner hospitals.
  • Assist in preparing internal reports, presentations, and program updates.
  • Assist in collecting, compiling, and analyzing program data for CCC/training.
  • Assist in monitoring indicators, outputs, and impact metrics.
  • Assist in preparing analytical reports and dashboards.
  • Assist in communicating with partner hospitals and training institutions.
  • Assist in coordinating with subject matter experts and partners.
  • Assist in preparing IEC materials for parents, patients, and partners.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing logistics for meetings, workshops, and engagements.
  • Assist in maintaining program documentation and digital records.
  • Assist in writing stories/blogs, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Assist with other related Programs related tasks.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Pursuing a graduate degree or have completed a graduate program in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences from an accredited university. 

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • A graduate or postgraduate in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences from an accredited university. 

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Interest in healthcare capacity building, training programs, and program monitoring.
  • Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Past work or internship experience with health care or non-profits will be a plus.
  • Proactive, self-monitored, and accountable with high emotional and intellectual maturity.

Compensation Range

Rs. 42,000 – Rs. 50,000/month


Travel

Occasional travel to partner locations and program events.
