Position Summary: Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Special Education, this position will provide instruction, assessment, and program planning for special education students with identified special educational needs. The fundamental purpose of this position is to adapt the content, methodology, and delivery of instruction to meet the needs of an eligible child and ensure the student’s access to the general curriculum and rigorous educational standards adopted by the School and the State.

Required Qualifications

? Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

? Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential

? English Learner (EL) Authorization

? Basic proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Chat, or similar tools)

Preferred Qualifications

? Experience in a charter school or independent study environment

? Experience using educational technology platforms (e.g., LMS/SIS systems such as Pathways, Clever, or Google Classroom) to support instruction

? Bridge Authorization

Employment Requirements

? AB 2534 Verification

? Background Clearance

? Tuberculosis Clearance (Risk Assessment or Skin Test)

? I-9 Verification (Appropriate US Work Permits as required)

? Complete Required Mandatory Trainings for School Employees
