Position Summary
The Education Manager for instructional design, training, & change management leads the planning, coordination, and execution of operational and technology training programs to support the SMSH Cancer Center. This role is responsible for organizing instructional designers, trainers, and at-the-elbow (ATE) go-live support resources to ensure staff are prepared and engaged throughout implementation and ongoing operations. The manager will develop and manage a structured change management roadmap, partnering closely with leaders, process owners, and people managers to support readiness, adoption, and sustained performance. This role will also collaborate with Communications and Marketing to support consistent messaging and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development, coordination, and delivery of operational and technology training programs
- Oversee and coordinate instructional designers, trainers, and ATE go-live support resources
- Develop and manage change management and organizational readiness strategies
- Partner with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to support execution and adoption
- Monitor training progress, readiness indicators, risks, and performance outcomes
- Collaborate with Communications and Marketing to support awareness and stakeholder engagement
Requirements
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience in healthcare operations; oncology or specialty care experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale training initiatives
- Proven success in executing change management strategies and readiness planning
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Certifications in Project Management, Training, or Change Management (e.g., Prosci) preferred
