Position Summary

KnowFully Learning Group is seeking a hands-on, data-informed Ecommerce Optimization Manager to own commercial web performance across the brand portfolio. This role is accountable for conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, and checkout completion, and for the experimentation program that improves them.

The Ecommerce Optimization Manager combines day-to-day ecommerce management with structured conversion rate optimization, using customer behavior, funnel data, controlled experiments, and digital merchandising to improve commercial results. The role partners closely with Brand Growth, Product, Content, Rev Ops & BI, Technology, Operations, and Paid Media.

This is an individual contributor role. It owns commercial website performance and optimization. It does not own product strategy, pricing architecture, or paid media strategy. The role optimizes within the existing website platform; changes to underlying systems and architecture are owned by Technology, with internal development support available for implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Ecommerce Performance

  • Own commercial performance across assigned brand websites, including conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, and checkout completion.
  • Analyze performance by brand, product, audience, device, traffic source, and customer segment.
  • Translate performance trends into clear, prioritized recommendations for the business.
  • Support promotional planning and ensure campaigns are accurately represented across the website.
  • Maintain execution quality across product pages, category pages, landing pages, cart, and checkout.

Conversion Rate Optimization & Experimentation

  • Develop and maintain a prioritized optimization roadmap across assigned websites.
  • Identify conversion friction through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Design, launch, and evaluate controlled experiments with documented hypotheses, success measures, and decision rules.
  • Match experimentation method to each brand's traffic volume, applying alternatives to A/B testing where sample sizes do not support a conclusive result.
  • Segment new and returning visitors when analyzing brands that operate membership or subscription models.
  • Document outcomes and maintain a shared archive of learnings that can be applied across the portfolio.

Digital Merchandising

  • Manage the presentation and prioritization of products, bundles, subscriptions, promotions, and offers.
  • Optimize product hierarchy, featured placements, recommendations, cross-sells, and upsells.
  • Partner with Product Line Owners on the digital presentation of approved packaging and pricing.
  • Support launches by translating approved product strategy into effective on-site merchandising.

Website Quality & Release Management

  • Develop requirements and acceptance criteria for commercial website changes.
  • Conduct pre-launch and post-launch quality assurance across devices, browsers, and key customer journeys.
  • Validate pricing displays, promotional logic, forms, tracking, cart behavior, and checkout functionality.
  • Identify and escalate defects that create revenue, customer experience, compliance, or reputational risk.

Data & Insights

  • Report on conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, checkout completion, and experiment results.
  • Partner with Rev Ops & BI to validate reporting, attribution, funnel definitions, and measurement quality.
  • Distinguish meaningful performance changes from normal variation and present findings with recommended actions.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Brand Growth Leads on commercial priorities, campaign alignment, and brand-level growth goals.
  • Partner with Product on launches, approved pricing and packaging, and learner journey implications.
  • Partner with Content to ensure messaging, claims, and offer language reflect professional credibility and learner needs.
  • Partner with Technology and Operations on implementation feasibility, integrations, and release coordination.
  • Partner with Paid Media, SEO, and Lifecycle Marketing on landing page alignment and funnel continuity.

Brand Stewardship

  • Protect long-term brand trust by ensuring optimization tactics do not introduce misleading urgency, unclear pricing, hidden terms, or manipulative purchase experiences.

Qualifications

Required

  • 4+ years in ecommerce, conversion rate optimization, growth marketing, or digital product optimization.
  • Demonstrated improvement of conversion and revenue on a transactional website, with direct accountability for the results.
  • Hands-on experience designing, quality-assuring, and analyzing controlled experiments end to end.
  • Strong command of GA4 and ecommerce funnel reporting, including the ability to distinguish signal from normal variation.
  • Proficiency with WordPress and comfort implementing site changes directly rather than specifying them for others.
  • Comfort managing multiple brands or business lines simultaneously, with the discipline to prioritize across competing demands.

Preferred

  • Experience in professional education, healthcare education, continuing education, subscription products, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Google Tag Manager, HTML, and CSS.
  • Working knowledge of experimentation methodology, including statistical power, test duration, and when testing is not the right tool.
  • Experience with personalization, recommendation engines, or merchandising tools.

What Success Looks Like

  • Improved conversion rate, revenue per visitor, and average order value across assigned brands.
  • Improved cart and checkout completion, and reduced friction at high-priority funnel steps.
  • A documented, repeatable experimentation practice with a reliable record of tests, outcomes, and learnings.
  • Validated improvements adopted across multiple brands rather than isolated to a single site.
  • Accurate, trusted ecommerce reporting that leadership can act on with confidence.
  • Timely, high-quality commercial website launches and updates.
  • Commercial growth that preserves professional credibility, compliance, learner experience, and brand trust.
