AI Summary

The eCommerce Growth Coach will manage a portfolio of members by providing hands-on coaching, diagnosing growth constraints, and driving progress across traffic, conversion, retention, and economics. Additionally, the role involves creating educational frameworks, templates, and resources to support the broader Foundr Operators Membership community.

About Foundr

Foundr is a global media and education company for entrepreneurs, reaching millions of business owners every month through our podcasts (Foundr Podcast, Little Empires), 632K+ newsletter subscribers, 3.8M+ social audience, live events, educational programs, and the Foundr Operators community.

Foundr Operators Membership (FOM) is our coaching program for advanced DTC and ecommerce founders and operators, helping members solve real growth challenges across acquisition, conversion, retention, and business
economics.

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced ecommerce operator who loves solving growth problems and helping other founders succeed?

Foundr is looking for an eCommerce Growth Coach to join the Foundr Operators Membership team.

This is a hands-on practitioner role for someone who has been in the trenches growing ecommerce brands and can turn that experience into practical, commercially grounded coaching.

You will manage a portfolio of FOM members across different revenue levels, ad spend, business stages, and growth challenges, helping them identify and address the highest-impact opportunities across four core areas: traffic, conversion, retention, and economics.

This is not a role where you simply deliver a fixed curriculum. You will diagnose problems, challenge thinking, review strategy and creative, help members determine what to prioritise next, and keep them accountable to moving their businesses forward.

You will also help strengthen the FOM program itself by turning your experience and what is working across the membership into frameworks, templates, Looms, and resources that can benefit the broader community.

What You Will Do

Coach and support FOM members

  • Run approximately two to five coaching calls per week with assigned members across varied revenue levels, ad spend, business stages, and growth challenges.
  • Conduct monthly 30-minute progress check-ins with each assigned member to review progress, address blockers, and maintain momentum.
  • Provide ongoing asynchronous support between calls via DM, including answering questions, reviewing creative, and providing feedback on strategy.
  • Help members diagnose their highest-impact growth constraints and translate strategy into practical next steps.
  • Adapt your coaching approach based on each member’s business, experience level, priorities, and stage of growth.

Drive member progress and engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with members and become a credible, practical growth resource they can rely on.
  • Keep members engaged, accountable, and moving toward agreed priorities and outcomes.
  • Track member progress and proactively flag risks, blockers, or concerns to the Head of Coaching.
  • Identify recurring challenges across the member portfolio and look for opportunities to address them more systematically.
  • Contribute actively to member retention by ensuring the coaching experience delivers practical and ongoing value.

Build frameworks, curriculum, and coaching resources

  • Develop frameworks, templates, checklists, and reference guides based on recurring challenges and approaches that are working across the membership.
  • Record Looms and short explainer videos to support the FOM resource library.
  • Contribute to onboarding materials and the member welcome experience.
  • Work with the coaching team and Program Manager to keep FOM content current, relevant, and practical.
  • Turn successful coaching approaches into repeatable resources that can benefit the wider membership.

Essential

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience running, managing, or growing ecommerce or DTC brands. You have been in the trenches, not simply advising from the sidelines.

  • The ability to turn experience into repeatable frameworks, systems, and processes.
  • Strong organisation, reliability, and follow-through.
  • The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the wider coaching and program team.

Highly regarded

  • Previous experience coaching, mentoring, consulting, or advising ecommerce founders or operators.
  • Experience as an ecommerce founder, growth operator, media buyer, or DTC agency practitioner.

  • Strong CRO, email/SMS, lifecycle, or retention-marketing experience.
  • Experience developing educational content, frameworks, playbooks, or curriculum.
  • Experience working in a fast-moving, founder-led or entrepreneurial business.

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Member engagement and participation in the coaching program.
  • Progress against agreed priorities, actions, and business goals.
  • Member retention and satisfaction.
  • Quality, usefulness, and responsiveness of coaching and asynchronous support.
  • Consistency and accuracy of member progress tracking.
  • Ability to identify and escalate member risks or blockers early.
  • Quality and usefulness of frameworks, templates, Looms, and other resources developed.
  • Contribution to the continued improvement of FOM curriculum and the overall member experience.
  • Feedback from members, the Head of Coaching, and the wider FOM team.

The Offer

  • A competitive base salary
  • A full-time remote role with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
  • The opportunity to work directly with established ecommerce founders and operators on real growth challenges.
  • Significant autonomy and ownership over your member portfolio and coaching approach.
  • The opportunity to help shape FOM’s coaching frameworks, curriculum, resources, and member experience.
  • Direct exposure to Foundr leadership and the wider ecommerce operator community.
  • A role where your practical ecommerce experience can create impact beyond a single brand.

Reporting Line

You will report to the CEO and work closely with the Head of Coaching.
